Day 93 - Worrier or Warrior?

A day by day account of my jaunt to a happier and healthier me... I'm a chubby chick in her 30's who is tired of being fat and miserable. I started this blog on 8-16-07 to document my weight loss journey. I've had lots of successes and failures along the way but I am not giving up. I'm recommitting to my goal today. Tuesday. January 1. 2008. I'm going to need help and encouragement along the way so please leave comments and advice if you visit. :) Which are you.. a worrier or a warrior? By "worrier" I mean someone who tends to let their emotions derail their charge loss efforts. By "warrior" I mean someone who tends to fight with a vengeance every enemy (including emotions) in the battle of the bulge with every weapon in their vast arsenal. Lately I have been a "worrier!" I have slowly been sliding out of "warrior-mode" and into "worrier-mode" ever since I had to socialise unwanted house guests in October. Then there was the stress of my stepdaughter's wedding to deal with. I was worried about facing hubby's plastic size 2 ex finding a dress that didn't make me look like a be cow etc. etc. etc. And after the wedding was all said and done.. it really wasn't that bad! All the stress was for nothing. I enjoyed myself and pretty much had a blast. The house guest fiasco really wasn't even THAT bad.. because they ended up cutting their visit short. So it was only HALF as bad as it could have been. Stressful definitely.. but I also definitely lucked out. And now I'm riding an emotional roller-coaster because of the upcoming holidays. I've been sad and mopey because none of my family will be here to celebrate with me. This will be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas that I've lived in a different state.. far far away from all people and things familiar. Hubby's work schedule has been EXTREMELY frustrating the measure 2 weeks as well. He's been working a lot of desire hours and when he does get home at night he pretty much eats supper falls asleep on the recliner gets up to consume and then goes to bed. So I haven't really been able to pay any quality time with him.. and it's driving me nuts! He's pretty much the ONLY person that I see on a day-to-day basis. I have no friends or family here and right now hubby is driving my vehicle because his is in the shop. So I can't even go to freaking Walmart during the day if I want to! And because I can't go to Walmart during the day. I haven't been able to do much grocery shopping.. so there is not much healthy food in the.

Chubby Babies

When my daughter was born she weighed 7 pounds and was 19 ½ inches desire. I thought she was perfect. When she was 9 months old however. I had a doctor tell me that her head circumference weight and height did not match up (because Brenna while growing length-like there was no tomorrow was maintaining a nice low weight. She has had baby fat in her life) and that there must be something do by with her. Said doctor sent to her to a specialist who tested her go functions and early verbal skills (and yes by 9-10 months. Brenna had words. She had a whole handful of them and jabbered about everything) and told us that we had a perfectly normal child who didn't need to return to her office ever. And then signed a paper to that cause so her regular doctors could see it and know not to worry that her weight was not in the same percentile as the rest of her body. That is to say my daughter is change state as a rail. comfort. My son however was born 8-and-almost-a-half months ago at 8 pounds 1.8 ounces and measuring a grand 21 ½ inches long. Though it was only a hit or so more than his sister he looked twice her size. At his last doctors visit (two weeks ago) he weighed 19.3 pounds and measured 28 ½ inches desire. He comfort looks like he weighs more than his sister although in reality doesn't. ;-) When populate look at him they say "oh what a happy chubby baby!" and express me how sweet he is. They are surprised when I say how old he is because they evaluate he looks like he could be older. Today. I babysat for a little 7 month old girl who is a good 5 inches taller than my son and must weigh double his charge. She had jelly rolls… and it wasn't the cute kind either. I don't know anything her parents and haven't met them (because I was standing in for her daycare provider who is a friend of exploit and had a doctor's appointment) so I don't experience how she compares to them… but she's huge compared to my son. I am not a superficial person so appearances don't determine me liking a person (or a child) but something about the way this do by concerns me. Is there such thing as "too chubby" when it comes to pre-crawling babies? And how do you know? I'm not sure the answer to this challenge but I don't think they get concerned about a baby gaining weight unless they start jumping up percentiles. I had a friend whose babies have all been around the 90th or 95th percentiles for charge and there was no concern. If a do by is in the 50th and then jumps to the 75th percentile that might cause some concern. And of cover the other way too. Stephan started out life in the 50th percentile so when he went through several ear infections and such and went down to the 25th percentile the nurses freaked out. The Dr didn't alter as big a deal out of it but since then I've been concerned (unnecessarily) about his weight. Annoying really since he's always been growing height wise and looks healthy too. Back to your challenge. I don't think Dr s get too concerned about weight till babies are older and more mobile desire you suggested. I evaluate there can be to chubby of a baby. A friend of exploit's neice ahs a little boy that is 8 months old now but when he was 6 months old he weighed 29 lbs. He was put on a diet because he was to heavy. He couldn't crawl turn or other normal baby things. Don't mind Mickey is not that kinda chubby baby. Adding this item ordain make it viewable to everyone who has find to the group.
